No For Elmbrook

TOTAL COST $165.8M NOT $100M • MILL RATE IMPACT $0.67 NOT $0.11 • $100M ONLY IMPACTS 40% OF THE DISTRICT

We think Elmbrook’s challenges aren’t a lack of funds, it’s misplaced priorities.  The current annual budget is almost $150M, and in recent years, Elmbrook has chosen to spend lavishly on things that don’t directly support academic achievement — even building a brand new office for district administrators while ignoring legacy issues. Now they are asking for more, positioning it as if it’s a necessity when in reality things like ADA updates are a minority of the wishlist they have compiled. Â
No one is against investing in schools, but it must be done wisely.
